fsdklfds i think its just canon at this point that bramblestar is really……really….not good at naming things. hes not good at naming his warriors and thats just??? something thunderclan accepts about him, they know hes trying but he has a horrible eye for naming and thats just. canon.
squirrelflight tries to step in sometimes which is why dewnose & lilyheart and some others have cute names but bramblestar tries to follow in firestars “non-traditional” naming habits [w/ names like lionblaze or briarlight etc] but he doesnt realize that his choices for suffixes are. bad. no matter how much squirrelflight or his kits try to tell him

like squirrelflight wanted to name her foxkit or flamekit even, she didnt want sparkkit to share firestar’s name but she wanted to name her after SOMEONE and bramblestar is like
“well uh….wait wait !!! how about sparkkit???”

“fire…sparks kind of, and she might be sparky later in life, so why not sparkkit!!!”
squirrelflight didnt have the heart to say no after graystripe popped into the nursery like “i heard the suggestion for sparkkit and i wanted to let u know that as ur uncle i approve fullheartedly” and squirrelflight was just like “FOR STARCLANS SAKE OKAY FINE”
