so, i went out and got a bit of jice-making progress done before the skies opened and i had to go inside again

overall, there are a few things i need to pick up- the most pressing being molds. i tried two methods- one making a long strip of micarta and then cutting it, and one with making little individual squares. the latter didn’t work out as well as i would like because i didn’t have a way to press it down, so the squares were even more full of bubbles. i like having the long strips, but i’ll need some finer grain sandpaper if i go that route because the stuff i have now isn’t doing it. that or i’ll need to dip the dice in resin once i’m done the first part. still, this batch was all about experimenting, and experiment i did! and now i have two little cubes that i can polish up and put wee lil pips on and then jice will fully exist, which is dope! the cubes seem surprisingly balanced from what i can tell, which is weird because they look a lil wonky but hey, not complaining.

also my hands hurt, i’ve been spoiled by a year of having readily available power tools in school, fucking OW

the beard just got home, saw the jice, and said “wow, these are way less trashy looking than i thought they’d be!”

if i decide to sell these i am absolutely using that endorsement in the ad campaign, along with the last resort photo up there

hey you two are online, @yarndarling and @ruffboijuliaburnsides look at what i made

Oh hell yeah!! These look awesome! I love how the denim ended up making a sweet wave pattern on the d6 😀 be great for a character that loves  the jcean and sweet denim jackets 😀

i know, right? they’re surprisingly lovely. i might need to figure out how to get that wave pattern in a proper mold because i do love it but it is the result of a divot in the bottom of the micarta
