Amazon’s big deals event is being timed to coincide with the multinational strike action against them, so don’t get tempted when those start up

It’s on July 10th

The strikes were actually timed for the big deals event so when the high demand comes Amazon will realise how much it needs it workers.

I clarified my meaning in another post but I want to say here that the intent of the strike is not to show Amazon how much it needs its workers; Amazon knows full well that it needs its workers like any company does. The intent of strike action is to disrupt and damage Amazon’s ability to carry out its functions and force the bosses to make concessions.

hey everyone, this is a global worker action. don’t buy from amazon at least until they cave to worker demands. that’s the least you can do.

and if you know of an amazon facility nearby, consider joining picket lines or bringing food and water/ordering it to be delivered to striking workers

boost the message of the strike and encourage friends and family to boycott until amazon recognizes and agrees to worker demands

write your representatives to let them know you agree with the workers and expect them to stand beside them as well (governments often times seek ways to pressure strikes to end)

write amazon and let them know you know about the strike, stand with the workers, and will not buy from them until they honor the demands of the workers

these are things you can and should do even if you don’t work for amazon
